01Who we are
Alfcode is a custom software development studio with offices in San Francisco, Melbourne, and Islamabad. For anything in this policy, the data controller is Alfcode, reachable at hello@alfcode.com.
02What we collect
Site analytics
When you load a page, our own first-party analytics record a small set of technical details so we can understand traffic and improve the site:
- Your IP address, and an approximate location (city, region, country) derived from it
- Device type, operating system, and browser
- Screen size, browser language, and timezone
- The page you viewed and the site or campaign that referred you
We do not run third-party advertising trackers, and the analytics request sets no cookies. If your browser sends a Do Not Track signal, we skip this collection entirely.
Contact form
If you send us a project inquiry, we store what you submit: your name, email, company, the services and budget you select, and your message, along with the same technical details above so we can spot spam.
Admin session
Our internal analytics dashboard is protected by a single first-party session cookie. It is functional only, set after a private login, and never used to track visitors.
03Why we collect it
We rely on legitimate interest: understanding how the site is used so we can make it better, keeping it secure, and responding to the people who contact us. We do not sell your data, and we do not use it for automated decisions about you.
04How long we keep it
Analytics records are kept only as long as they are useful for understanding trends, then rotated out. Contact inquiries are kept while we are in touch and for a reasonable period after, so we can pick the conversation back up. You can ask us to delete your inquiry sooner at any time.
05Who we share it with
We do not sell or rent your data. We share it only with the service providers that host this site and process the data on our behalf, and only where required by law. Because our team works across the United States, Australia, and Pakistan, your data may be processed in any of these locations.
06Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access the data we hold about you, correct it, or have it deleted, and to object to how we use it. To exercise any of these, email hello@alfcode.com and we will respond within a reasonable time.
07Security
The site runs over HTTPS, inquiry and analytics data is stored with restricted access, and our admin dashboard sits behind a password and a signed session. No system is perfect, but we treat your data the way we would want ours treated.
